Heard from racing colleague David Smith last night, he's just had two good races at the Nurburgring, and has come away with silverware! Makes me redouble my efforts to get mine ready so I can be there next year.

Hit a snag yesterday, it seems the previous owner bodged the chassis repair then hid that wth bodyfiller. No wonder the car's so heavy, I must have been driving like a demon to have been so quick with an overweight car and underpower engine!

Interesting take on car repairs. Inner sill and floor are rusty so you weld huge plates over the floor and inner sill and instead of cutting the rusty metal out you smooth it in with body filler. Hmmm.

Bought mysef an SCCR yesterday - woo-hoo! A good box, ready to go, about half the price others are asking for them.

On a more sobering note, I'm wondering how the so-called credit crunch will affect our business expansion plans. We've got ideas for a new racewear.co.uk web site and have a grant towards the cost, but it may be a poor time to be looking for extra funding. We'll just have to work a bit harder I suppose. That's why I'm at my desk at 0600, so that I can get routine done without disturbing the working day....Still, glad I now own the worst part of Bradford and Bingley, I'm sure that's going to help my business a lot. Wonder if I buy loads of useless racewear stock the government would bail me out? Thought not!

Oh, had a great day on the SKID CAR Saturday. The sun shone which helped the mood, everyone seemed to have a good time and learned a lot. Alex scored a goal on the pitch at QPR and we got the garden cleared. Tom came and collected his shell, means I've only got the race and the road Sprite in the drive now. S's pleased, so are the neighbours, but I need some more stock. If you find any dead Midgets, please let me know.
